

The books written by Tom are known by different names in various countries. Going by the style of writing of his novels, it can be seen very well that he is basically the writer of the mystery and thriller genres.

Tom began his writing career in the year 2011 when he debuted with the first novel of the ‘Victor the Assassin’ series and published it in the same year. He was born and brought up in Burton Upon Trent, Staffordshire, England and currently lives in London. Eventually, Tom debuted with the thriller series featuring the primary character Victor as the assassin. After realizing the potential in his art of writing, he decided to leave everything else and shift his focus towards writing thriller novels. Before becoming a full time author, Tom was involved in doing a wide range of jobs. Just funny that one reader, voicing a character by a particular author can make you cheer for the character, while another narrator reading from the same can make you wish the character would be killed off.Tom Wood is one of the popular English authors of the thriller genre. Shapiro was a bit more smug and charismatic. Philpott made the character sound bitchy and catty. I'd listen to a sentence or two of Philpott's portrayal of Victor (main character - the Assassin and all that!) and compare it to how I'd imagine Shapiro voicing it from the first book. I don't know if I would have necessarily picked up the second in the series had I listened to the first by Philpott. Shapiro did such a great job, brought a lot of depth to the characters. Listening to the third book - The Game - narrated by Daniel Philpott (Amazon vs. I read the second book - The Enemy - in paperback and developed a deep emotional man-crush on myself.
